One of the three short documentaries I made in China released today! Enjoy!
Filmed 10 adventurous action short documentaries in 6 days in over 20 locations around national monuments! Shot with Sony FS7 and my GoPro Karma drone with gimbal! I freaking love it so much! Had a blast filming in D.C. for the past few days with these rockstars at "Time to THRIVE" with the Human Rights Campaign! I am working as a cinematographer with talented Director Lexy Kadey on a short documentary about Miss Missouri Erin O'Flaherty! She is the first openly gay contestant to compete at Miss America and is a huge advocate for LGBTQ rights and suicide prevention.
Millennials deal with pressures of self-identity in today's technological culture. It’s a challenge to continuously define ones own beauty, and not try to conform to other standards.
Angela McCrea and I collaborated to create a photo series empowering young women, representing beauty in it's most raw and natural form. Every week we will share a new portrait of a multicultural millennial woman at the intersection of art, beauty, culture, and technology.
Follow @whereisbeautyfilm every week for a new portrait that I photographed. Also check for prizes!
Greetings from the desert!
Had a truly spectacular time filming with these amazing talented artists in the Mojave desert for Ruth Weiss, The Beat Goddess - Documentary!
Worked with professional dance artist and choreographer Ida Victoria Herndon who created a spectacular performance on camera to ruth weiss’s most notable books "Desert Journal”, 1977
"ruth weiss has been sounding these poems, alone or with jazz accompaniment, for many years. Her poems are of the rhythms of our time and the interlaced, repetitive subtleties are sewn by that 'thread for those who breathe in rags' which bespeaks and sings the deep loom of the bronze lotus." — Jack Hirschman
GROUP PICTURE WITH THE TEAM
“Ruth Weiss, The Beat Goddess Documentary“ is powerful short documentary about an extraordinary poet taking a journey into the heart and passion of one of the most brilliant voices of the American Counter-Culture Movement.
